This year Verizon Wireless will begin using the spectrum it bought from the cable companies last year according to Nicola Palmer, chief technology officer. Palmer said that Verizon Wireless will soon complete deployment of it’s 4G LTE service in the nationwide 700MHz spectrum it purchased in 2008 from a Federal Communications Commission auction. By the end of this year Verizon Wireless hopes to cover 90 percent of the United States with it’s 700MHz spectrum.
