Verizon today on Twitter announced that they will be starting a rollout of Android 4.4 to the Droid MAXX, Droid Mini, and Droid Ultra. According to Verizon this update will be rolling out in waves so don’t be surprised if you check for an update and haven’t received it just yet.

Verizon has already posted some documentation that lets users know some of the bigger changes brought on by the KitKat update such as immersive mode, camera improvements, and FitBit support. Also, all of the Verizon apps will be updated as well.

The OTA update is rolling out as you are reading this article so if you own a Droid MAXX, Droid Mini, or Droid Ultra then you should definitely check for an update on your phone; it wouldn’t hurt.
