The creators of Temple Run,  Imangi Studios, promised an Android version of this game and today was released for free on Google Play.

As an already popular game on IOS, with over 12 million downloads, Temple Run is set up to be a huge success on Android devices.  It already has a 4.4 star rating with over 12 thousand reviews.

You’ve stolen the cursed idol from the temple, and now you have to run for your life to escape the Evil Demon Monkeys nipping at your heels. Test your reflexes as you race down ancient temple walls and along sheer cliffs. Swipe to turn, jump and slide to avoid obstacles, collect coins and buy power ups, unlock new characters, and see how far you can run!

My initial testing of this game has been a positive experience.  The only hick-up I’ve had is when playing it on my Nexus S with its’ single core processor.  Further testing on a Transformer Prime and Galaxy S2 has proven that this is a nicely built game that can be extremely addicting.

Have you downloaded the game yet? Let us know what you think about it!
