One of the best third party keyboards, SwiftKey 3 Keyboard,  has gotten an update that brings with it bug fixes, UI fixes, prediction fixes, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean support. Using the Jelly Bean keyboard is much better than previous Android version, so the need for alternative keyboards may be minimal. With 4.1’s improved predictions and other keyboard improvements, SwiftKey may not be able to compete with the baked in keyboard.

SwiftKey 3 for tablets was also updated yesterday, with mention of Jelly Bean support and fixes. If you got that Nexus 7 tablet, load up SwiftKey and gives us your opinion in the comments.

If you have the newest update version of SwiftKey 3 for your phone or tablet, let us know how the new version is working for you.

You can grab the new version of SwiftKey 3 here for phones and here for tablets.
