A couple of screenshots have leaked of a supposed new version of the Gmail app. The images were leaked by Geek.com which we don’t have a good understanding of when it comes to reliability. From the screenshots the first thing your probably going to notice is all of the colors and a plethora of new tabs. You will also see a new “pinned” feature, which allows you to pin an email of your choosing to the top of your inbox.

We have to spend a second talking about this new UI, it is ugly, childish, and does not incorporate usual Google app design guidelines. There is no way that this is the final version of the Gmail app, Google is likely “dogfooding” changes and features to be added to a new version of the Gmail app internally that will be unveiled at I/O later this year.

Would you guys be happy if this was to become the new Gmail app? Let us know in the comments section below, don’t worry we wont make fun of you.
