Sony’s Lifelog application recently became available in the Google Play Store for Xperia devices, well today the app received an update that allows any device running KitKat to download the app. Just like its name suggests, Sony’s Lifelog app keeps track of information about your communications, entertainment, and physical activities. The app also allows you to sync your Sony Smartband SWR10 and collect even more information about your daily life.

We were able to download and install the Lifelog app on a Samsung Galaxy S5 with no hitches so we can personally vouch for the app working with non-Xperia devices. At the moment we don’t really have any word from Sony as to why they expanded the compatibility of the app to other devices but we aren’t complaining, maybe some other manufacturers will take a hint from this.
