Skype appears to currently be testing a new video messaging service with a group of exclusive users according to their Twitter account. The new video messaging service allows users to send video messages between each other up to 3 minutes long. If your wondering if your a lucky selected user there is a way you can tell. Look under the “More” category under a contact’s name and you will have the new option to do video messages and send files. From what we’ve heard from some of these users you get a basic video interface that is just as simple as hitting record to start the video and record to finish and send. By the way you don’t have to worry about updating your app to receive this capability as it requires no update.
Some users who have been lucky enough to be selected to take part in this beta have reported that this will be a premium feature costing Skype credits. If any of you reading this have been selected to take part in this beta let us know in the comments.
