The Galaxy Chat which is Samsung’s attempt to take on RIM and their BBM service will be available in Spain this month and will then move onto Europe, Latin America, Middle East, China, Southeast Asia, and Southwest Asia. Here are the specs of the Galaxy Chat:

  • 320 X 240 QVGA Display
  • 4GB of internal storage with MicroSD card slot for expansion
  • 2MP Rear-Facing Camera
  • 1200mAh battery
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 ( b/g/n ), Bluetooth 3.0 and USB 2.0
  • Dedicated key to launch Samsung’s ChatON messenger

Unfortunately there is no word on pricing details yet but we will keep our ears open as more information becomes available. I assume though that Samsung plans to keep the pricing of this device low to enter the low-cost Android device market with this phone.
