Right on the heels of LG, Samsung has announced that it will be launching a new set of LED smart bulbs at Light + Building 2014, a trade fair for architecture and technology. The event will take place in Frankfurt Germany on March 30th – April 4th of this year. These bulbs are supposedly very efficient and even include a swivel head with a “decorative classic design.”

These Samsung-made smart bulbs will provide you with 15,000 hours of light which is equivalent to about 10 years of average use. Most other smart bulbs are controlled by WiFi but these are controlled by Bluetooth which can be more efficient by taking the middle man (router) out of the equation. With the app that will be provided by Samsung users will be capable of controlling up to a whopping 64 smart bulbs at once.

There is no pricing or availability information available from Samsung just yet but we assume that will all be made clear at the Light + Building 2014 fair/expo on March 30th.
