Just today the branded USA carrier, version of the Samsung Galaxy S II was announced. Sprint has given it’s model of the phone a quirky name, EPIC 4G touch! As if the phone wasn’t EPIC enough. So far the names of the T-Mobile and AT&T versions have not been announced.

The Sprint and T-Mobile version is said to support an enormous 4.52 inch screen! Too big even for my gorilla hands! The AT&T will market the phone as the thinnest 4G phone, supporting their HSPA+, and a more reasonable 4.3 inch screen. Other than that and some cosmetic differences the phones will support the same guts and glory of the European/global variant.

We have had some news about the release date for the different variations;  Sprint’s will be in stores on September 16, we’re hearing AT&T’s on the 18th, and have not heard yet when T-Mobile plans to release their curvy version.
