Remember way back when Pandora had listening caps? Well today Pandora has started living in the past because those listening caps for free users are back and what hurts the most is that it applies to mobile users only. It was just this afternoon that Pandora announced that it was necessary they return to the 40 hour listening Caps due to the cost of running the service.
Back in September 2011 Pandora dropped their listening caps they had. So what does this reinstated listening cap mean for you guys? Well it more than likely means you won’t be affected by this. Only 4 percent of Pandora’s mobile users listen to the music streaming service for more than 40 hours a month so like I said your probably not going to notice the change. Although if you are reading this and are a heavy Pandora user that surpasses that 40 hour a month mark then you will need to pay $3.99 a month (or $36 per year) to continue listening to music the way you like. But look at the bright side, if you need to start paying you will at least get rid of those annoying ads.
