Nexus 5 Wireless Charger and Case
When Google announced the Nexus 5, they also showed off some of the official accessories that are for the Nexus 5 including a refreshed wireless charger and two different types of cases.  Well today Google finally pulled the “Coming Soon” sign and made the accessories available for purchase.

Nexus 5 Flip Cover

The two cases include a bumper case and a flip cover. The bumper case has a hard outer shell with a soft inner rubber lining. The case comes in black, grey, red, and yellow for a price of $34.99. The flip cover provides a slim cover for your phone while also protecting the front screen. The back of the case has the same soft touch material as the Nexus 5. Google promises that the $49.99 case will automatically unlock the phone when the front is flipped over while also allowing the Nexus 5 to work perfectly with the wireless charger.

Nexus Wireless Charger

Last year Google release a QI wireless charger for the Nexus 4 which ended up failing for most of the people who bought it because of the angle it held the phone. With this model, Google has inserted magnets into the charger and into the back of the Nexus 7 (2013) and the Nexus 5. We have seen this before with the Palm/HP phones which used a different charging technology. The wireless charger will cost you $49.99 (or the same price as the flip cover case) and will work with the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (2013) and any other phone that has QI wireless charging capability.

I have the wireless charger coming my way right now and will make sure to bring you all plenty of coverage on it when it arrives.  I also have two CruzerLite cases for my Nexus 5 in the mail so I will be reviewing those instead of the official cases for now.
