Well folks here’s something pretty unexpected from Motorola this morning, a redesigned logo. As you can see from the new logo above gone is the bright red circle and in is the soft purple which looks pretty good and my opinion, definitely more “Googly”. The word Motorola below the logo also appears to be redone in a different font which also looks like it’s been redone to fit into Google’s design guidelines. And the biggest change is the addition of the words “a Google company” at the very bottom which was definitely not there before.
This all comes from the fact that Google bought Motorola back in 2011 for $12.5 billion. But besides the leaked “Moto X” leaked phone we haven’t really seen any collaboration between the two companies yet until now with this new logo. Now we play the waiting game and see if we get any looks at an official Moto X phone and it’s specs.
