The LG Phoenix has just received an update to Gingerbread. But this has both a good side and a bad side. First off users will finally get away from Froyo which is a very good thing. Unfortunately this does come at a price.

In order for users to update their LG Phoenix to Gingerbread they will have to use LG’s notoriously bad Mobile Support Tool. Now also keep in mind Mac  users that said tool is only available for Windows. The reason we are “bagging” on LG’s Mobile Support Tool is because it  is known for not working the way that it should. Although if you have a fair amount of patience and happen to own a Windows computer then you should definitely go update your LG Phoenix.
