Most of you probably use your stock text messaging app and don’t think twice about it or it’s almost certain lack of features. But for those techies out there like myself whom are looking for something better that better thing that comes to mind might be Google Voice. But what if you’ve never used Google Voice? How would you know if it’s worth switching over to and rely on as your main form of text messaging? Maybe you just don’t wanna waste your valuable data usage with a test run of the app or maybe you don’t want it to screw up something important, that’s why i’m writing this article.
Over the next week i’m going to switch over to Google Voice and use it as my only texting app and see how it preforms against the stock messaging app on my LG Optimus G. After that week is up i’ll report back to you guys with another article on how the app preformed on a day to day basis and how reliable it was. So if your interested in switching to Google Voice as your main texting app then stay tuned to AndroidMeter and we’ll let you know how it is in a week from today.
