Instagram and Facebook App

Today at Facebook HQ Instagram announced that they will be bringing video to their service. This was obviously done to compete with Vine which is Twitter’s 6-second video sharing app that has become wildly popular and started to become a thorn in Instagram’s side. The only real difference in the two video sharing abilities is that Vine consists of 6-second videos and Instagram Video will consist of 15-second videos giving their users a little more time to record what they want.

Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom says that nothing will change about Instagram with the introduction of video. The videos will appear in the same stream as your pictures do and will also be viewable on the web. Kevin Systrom was quoted saying “It’s the same Instagram we all know and love, but it moves”.
