About a week before HTC’s big unveiling of the M8 a full render of the device has been leaked out by popular leaker @evleaks. As seen above, the render of the device looks to be the real deal and also look pretty similar to the HTC One. The differences that we can pick out from the image between the One and the M8 are a dual-flash for the rear camera, softkeys with the addition of a task manager button, and a more curvy design with the headphone jack being moved to the bottom right.

Something else different on the software side seems to be some changes to Sense, HTC’s custom UI. In the image you can see that the area behind the time is green where before it was black. The biggest change though I was saving for last, the dual cameras on the back of the device. My personal theory for the dual cameras is that one camera (the top) will feature a high megapixel count and will be for taking regular pictures, and the other (the bottom) will feature HTC’s “Ultrapixels” and will be for taking low-light pictures. Regardless of what the reasoning behind the two cameras is it is exciting, lets just hope HTC isn’t bringing stereoscopic (false perception of 3D) picture-taking back.
