This morning HTC announced a brand new program called “Advantage.” This program is basically a promise from HTC to treat the customers that have bought their premium devices better by giving them software updates and even a free replacement screen if broken within the first 6 months of ownership.
Advantage offers more than just the screen replacement though. One of the most major promises is that they will keep the phone at the most current version Android for at least 2 years after its release. A couple smaller aspects of Advantage is that HTC will offer customers 25-50GBs of Google Drive storage depending on the specific device bought and there will be a lot more customer support to help you with using your phone, setting up back-ups, and getting screen replacements.
At this moment Advantage is only for the HTC One, One Mini, and One Max but will cover future phones as they are released. Unfortunately this program is almost useless to most HTC One owner since they most likely have bought their phone more than 6 months ago.
