Google just released a pretty minor update to its camera app, the update brings the app up to version 2.1.042 and adds one feature. It brings back the ability to capture photos will recording a video. This used to be a feature in the old Google Camera app before it received its redesign not too long ago when it for some unknown reason disappeared.

To use this new feature all you have to do is tap your screen while recording a video and a photo will be taken. This update has just began its rollout and should hit most devices over the next couple of days, if it has hit yours already drop us a comment.
