Web/Android: It’s only been a few months since the last time Google Maps made any significant updates toits public transportation layers, but it got a big addition today with live transit data. Now, whether you’re using Maps in a browser or on a mobile phone, you can see actual departure and arrival times for your transit route. Service alerts are also included so you’ll know if there’s been a delay or terminal closure. The new feature should start showing up in both the desktop and mobile webapps starting today, as well as for users who have the latest version of Google Maps for Mobile on Android.
