It’s the middle of the week and you know what that means, Google Updates Galore! Around this time every week Google usually pushes out updates to a few of its Android apps and this week it looks like Google Keep will be first in line. We have started to see a few devices receive a pretty decent update to Google Keep, most notably a UI refresh.

The first thing your going to notice when you update Google Keep is the bright yellow bar across the top of the app which used to be plain white, this definitely helps differentiate the app from being just a generic Google app. There are also some additions of useful features included in the update, the best of which is character recognition for text and images, this allows you to search for certain words or images within Keep. A new trash feature has also been added that allows you to delete an app but go restore it later if you ever needed it back.

Like usual this update is rolling out slowly so be patient. There is a download link below, click it to check if you have an update to Google Keep waiting for you.
