Yesterday the latest rumor floating around news sites was that Google might bring the Nest Learning Thermostat to the Google Play Store and now it looks like this has come true.

When Google bought Nest everyone knew that Google could easily start integrating the new thermostat and smoke detector¬†into their “Android in the Home” program. Now that Google is officially selling the hardware directly from their Play Store it looks like they are headed in that direction.

The smart learning thermostat from Nest is a smart thermostat that learns your heating and cooling habits to make your experience at home better. With the Nest you can also adjust the tempature in your home from your smart phone, tablet, or computer.

Nest Earth Day

While there is no difference between this model and a model that you can buy from anywhere else for $249, if you buy the Nest today from Google they will plant a tree for every unit sold for Earth Day.
