earliest known glass prototype

Two developers that have received their Glass devices have been able to get into the software that is installed in the high-tech wearable device.  Not everything is known but the initial specs indicate that Google based the internals of the device are based on their older Galaxy Nexus device.

  • OMAP 4430 CPU – Dual Core
  • 682mb of RAM
  • Android 4.0.4 – Ice Cream Sandwich

Jay Lee and Liam McLoughlin are the two developers that have been digging though their Glass software and trying to find a way to hack/root the device.    While looking for the exact specs, Lee is not certain about the clock speed of the CPU or if the device actually has 1GB of RAM.  It is not certain because elsewhere in the code, there is reference to both amounts of RAM; there could be a 1GB chip inside of Glass but then some amount of it could be dedicated to the hardware.

If you are interested in looking through the code that Lee and McLoughlin have pulled from Glass, you can look explore it here.
