Starting today Sprint’s Galaxy Note 3 will receive an update to Android 4.4 KitKat. The update is a decent sized 503MB package that some users have already begun to receive. What the update brings is all of the regular changes included with KitKat as well as change the Note 3’s status bar icons to white instead of the older looking blue holo color.

The Note 3 being updated to KitKat is right on track with Samsung’s recently released plans for the 4.4 rollout which is definitely good news for Samsung fans. If the plan continues as it should then 14 of Samsung’s phones and tablets should receive the updates not too far down the road. Fingers crossed everybody.
