Fleksy, a newer player in the keyboard game announced today that it will be providing the first keyboard to be integrated into Samsung’s brand new Gear 2 smartwatch. Samsung’s new smartwatch was announced two days ago at Mobile World Congress so it sure didn’t take long for Fleksy to get that keyboard up and running on the brand new device.

Fleksy will be a full touchscreen keyboard built into the Gear 2 that will allow users to respond to SMS text messages straight from their wrist instead of having to pull their phone out of their pocket. No need to worry about the keyboard being too small to type accurately either, Fleksy has patent-pending technology that is specifically designed for use on wearables such as the Gear 2 so that you will be able to type accurately on the small watch face. This is what COO of Fleksy Loannis Verdelis said about the technology, “Fleksy allows users to accurately type on any device, regardless of size, and we are excited to work with Samsung to finally bring the unique technology to the Gear 2.”

This is a very important milestone in wearables and a very good opportunity for Fleksy to get their foot in the door, they are the first company to be making a keyboard designed for wearables that will be built into a mainstream device. If this Keyboard works as well as Fleksy says it will then we might see them on a majority of future wearable tech.
