Today Facebook released their own messaging app for Android and IPhone (sorry nothing yet for BlackBerry).  With this you can easily open up the application and send your friend(s) a message.  I included the (s) because this give you to ability to send a message to multiple people at once. But what makes this app special?

Recently Facebook combined their chat service with their messaging service so it makes sense that they would make a single app for just that for your phone.  Facebook is also claiming that you do not even have to be friends on Facebook with the people you are chatting with as long as you have the person in your contacts.

Not only can you just send messages to people, you can also share your location with select people.  This is a lot like Facebook’s check in service but more private and direct. Here is the link to the market to download it for you on Android phones.
