Moto X

Possibly the biggest news topic on all tech websites is the Moto X, the first smartphone created from Motorola and Google’s partnership. Although it may be the biggest news story in the tech world right now you may have been on vacation or just not keeping up with tech news lately and want all the information you can get on the Moto X conveniently located in one place. Well look no farther than this article.

There have been tons of rumors and leaks pertaining to supposed features of the Moto X but we are going to shuffle through them and tell you about the features that are backed by solid sources and are likely to be actual features of the Moto X. The first feature I want to delve into is definitely the biggest one we know about and was pretty much confirmed as being an actual feature of the Moto X by a leaked Rogers promo video for the phone that showed off said feature plus a few others, always on voice recognition. This means that the phone would constantly be listening for a hot word like “okay Google Now” that would that would then be followed by a command such as “what’s the weather”. There would be no physical contact made with the phone, it would all be done through voice, a feature not available on any smartphone currently on the market.

The second notable feature which was also shown off in the Rogers promo video for the Moto X is the new way of being notified. No longer will there be an LED that blinks when you receive a text or anything of that nature, instead your phone screen will dimly show you what notification you just received. Now whether or not this will be a better way of receiving notifications comes down to personal opinion so we will have to wait and see how this feature sits with users.

This sums up what we know for sure this phone will include and there are many more rumored features but they don’t have much backing them. Until August 1st when the Moto X is set to be revealed we will have to be patient and see what proves true and what will be proven as just rumors.
