Arguably the best alternative music player application on Google Play, doubleTwist, has launched a new service called Magic Radio. Magic Radio is a subscription based music streaming service that will be built into the doubleTwist app if you decide to download the add-on. The new service will cost $3.99 per month with the first week free so you get a chance to see if you favor it or not. But it is going to be hard for doubleTwist to get people to favor it’s new streaming service when we already have such big contenders with huge established fanbases like Pandora or Spotify in that same market. So does this music streaming service stand out at all from the already well established music streaming services? The answer is no it doesn’t stand out but it does execute what other services like Pandora do very well, the interface looks clean and preforms smooth and is easy to use which makes it a joy to use. The one thing though that it does do better than the other music streaming services is it’s price point, like I said before this cost $3.99 per month while others like Spotify for example cost $9.99 per month, that is a huge difference. Sure using Magic Radio isn’t going to let you choose specific albums or tracks to listen to but it looks at what you listen to in your music and suggests songs and artists that really will peak your interest and is almost guaranteed to introduce you to new artists you will love.
