It seems that more and more custom launchers are starting to include KitKat features in their latest releases and now Apex Launcher is following in suite. If you are involved in the beta version of Apex Launcher then you will know that it already included KitKat features but now it has exited beta and landed on the Play Store for anyone to download.

There are many new features that were added to version 2.2 of the Apex Launcher such as the KitKat folder style, KitKat quick search bar style, and of course transparent status bars (KitKat only). These additional features plus many more put Apex Launcher right on par with Nova Launcher as far as KitKat features go if not further ahead. Aside from KitKat additions with 2.2 there are also some bug fixes, the biggest bug squashed being the disappearing icon bug.

Apex comes as a free download on the Play Store and cost $4 to upgrade to the Pro version, it is compatible with Android version 4.0.3 and up.
