Google Keyboard

This week’s app is brought to us by none other than Google themselves, it is their Android keyboard from Android 4.2. Google has made it available on the Google Play Store in order to update it accordingly without having to release and entire new software version like they have always had to do. So what caused this app to make the cut this week? It’s design and functionality.

This keyboard has the keys placed perfectly distanced from eachother which not only makes typing easier for anybody but also makes the keyboard look better in my opinion. Something that adds to that good look of the keyboard is it’s Holo theme that looks great and matches Android perfectly. Now lets jump into the functionality I mentioned in the paragraph above. This keyboard included a Swype like feature that allows you to swipe your finger from letter to letter to spell out the word which is an extremely useful feature and really allows you to type fast.

Besides all of what I mentioned above it is still just nice for anybody to be able to download Google’s latest keyboard without having to be running the latest version of Android. It also allows Google to make incremental updates as needed in order to make the keyboard better and better. If you haven’t downloaded this keyboard or aren’t running the latest version of Android then definitely go download this app and see if it tickles your fancy.
