This morning @evleaks tweeted something very significant for the Android world if it’s true, Android Silver will be coming as early as February of next year. The tweet by @evleaks read simply this, “Android Silver, circa February 2015”, if this ends up being true it will change the Android ballgame in a significant way, here’s why. Android Silver is a supposed program that Google will create to replace its beloved Nexus line of devices, instead of the new Nexus phone we will have a Samsung Galaxy S5 or HTC One M8 running stock Android and more than likely the Google Now Launcher. These “Android Silver devices” would be front and center at carrier stores which would help Google get a little more control over Android and the phones that run it. Also, the more devices that are Android Silver the better control Google gets over its Android fragmentation issues.

So how does this sound to you guys? Nexus, or Android Silver, which do you prefer? With @evleaks great track record when it comes to leaked information we will more than likely see our first Android Silver device sometime early next year.
