Android Market has hit over 10 billion app downloads and still counting from it’s mobile platform of applications.

This was a huge jump for Google considering just last year of July, their download count hit 1 billion and just in November there were 7 billion downloads. The Android Market is growing at an exponential speed, it doesn’t seem like anything can stop it at this point. With the release of ICS you should be expecting to see even more growth. The Android Market is catching up with the App Store which is at about 18 billion downloads. If my guesses are right, they should be caught up by this time of next year.

Amazingly 67% of the apps on the Android Market are free. And more 10 cent apps are on their way!
