Today Google updated it’s Platform Versions web page for Android and it shows that Jelly Bean is growing slowly but definitely growing. It has passed the 15% mark and Ice Cream Sandwich is still around 30% and will more than likely never get passed that by much. Whats really the most shocking despite what was just said is that Gingerbread is now on less than 45% of devices.

Looking at these new numbers the biggest shift was definitely Android 4.1 with an increase of almost 6% since last month. Android 4.0 has gone down from 29.0 to 28.6 percent. And last but certainly not least Android 2.3 has gone down by 1.4 percent. We can tell that Ice Cream Sandwich has reached it’s peak and is now going to start slowly rolling down hill. The next big player that is going to move up to the top is going to be Jelly Bean as it is on the rise.
